Me, Myself, and I.
Sarah Susnea What guided my sustained investigation was the idea of using self portraiture to explore the self, which I explored through medium and concept. Portraiture became about expressing how I feel about myself, not drawing an idealized version of me. Piece 1 is the establishment of the character, me, that is explored throughout the sustained investigation. Piece 10 is the death of this version of me, a neat conclusion to this chapter of my life when I can't find that anywhere else. Ultimately this sustained investigation gave me a confined space to explore different facets of myself and how I want them to be seen. |
